Freshman, Academy-Wide Project: "Misuse and Abuse of Power"
"As Matt and I continued team-teaching, it was immediately evident that he had a dedication to the profession and a sincere interest in and concern for the students. He regularly came up with creative lessons which allowed students of varying ability levels the opportunities for success. Not only were the lessons well thought out, creative, and interesting to the students in attendance, they were also available online through a blog for parents, students who were home-bound, or students who were out of the building for any reason to access. This attention to detail and proficient use of technology assisted in creating a forum for students to connect with other students and staff when there were concerns, comments, or questions regarding the information from class. It also facilitated smoother classroom management. The students became more and more engaged as the content steered toward technology."

"My son has learned many valuable life as well as academic lessons from Matt. He really challenges the kids to be self reliant and pushes them to achieve personal/team goals."
